Hmm, pretty sure I added something here
Must be going mad as I was sure I'd added some news here the other day.

No matter, not much happening anyway. I keep meaning to write-up some stuff on Project X ;) which is all about using an Xbox as a Media Centre Box.

One day perhaps! laughing

Project X
I have started work on a new project, Project X. A highly imaginative name as you can see!

I will upload more details as and when they happen/I get time. smile

Comical Cars
I think its time to start collecting pictures of comical cars. I'll start the ball rolling today with this jem:

No news = good news?
Lacking in anything interesting here as i've been too lazy to type. Oh, and the fact that there is nothing going on right now! wink

Strange accident this morning on the A1, car parked in lay-by with the front end completely stoved in. Occupants are the other side of the crash barrier, and the Police have just arrived. Small problem in that I couldn't see another vehicle involved and there are no trees or anything apart from the armco barrier to hit (and it hasn't been). Still trying to work out how that one happened!

Car = Fixed
So, my wonderfully engineered German car developed a severe lack of oomph, and even more worryingly a lack of mpg, about a month ago. I noticed that it was leaking a small amount of oil from in front of the driver side wheel arch. angry

Deciding that I could fix this myself I set about removing most of the front end of the car one Saturday afternoon, several swearing matches later I had removed the front bumper, front wheel arches and the Intercooler air-intake. It was then that I discovered this:

Intercooler Pic1

Not good.

Luckily there is a nice chap on the UK MKIV's website who supplies genuine VW parts at very good prices. I'll take 1 new Intercooler please! smile

An anxious wait for the replacement parts began and I had to suffer a slow, smokey and thirsty car for over 3 weeks, which I can tell you was very frustrating!!

I am happy to report that after this weekend gone I fitted the new Intercooler with some new seals (the plastic variety, not the ones that live in water) and everything is back to how it should be!

Also, please excuse the poor writing style, bad spelling and bad grammar. God decided I was not to be graced with the skills for writing! tongue
